The story behind the brand

The brand name, Emery Bodie, is a nod to the names of the business owner’s children. She strives to be the one-stop shop for personalized gifts, also known as ‘sucees,’ in a true Southern tradition.

When Ashley came to me for branding, I knew it would be a fun project! She loves bright colors and her home has LOTS of color throughout. Her products also tend to be fun and colorful. 

The two palmetto trees represent the brand’s namesake children, big sister Emery and little brother Bodie, their customer’s love of tropical lifestyle + colors, and their home state of South Carolina.

We spoke about her ideal audience, what their current problems were, how we would communicate the solution, and how we would attract them. This led us to the brand style that would best hit all the right notes. 

The brand’s packaging needed to have a high end look and feel, especially since these are personalized gifts for hostesses, teachers, and other special occasions.

Lastly, the colors we chose felt right for the types of products Ashley would be personalizing with vinyl decals and monograms.
